2025 Tosio Kato Fellowship for Young Southeast Asian Mathematician Deadline is Extended to 27 November 2024.
The Tosio Kato Fellowship aims to reward young promising mathematicians from Southeast Asia in the hope that they will become a driving force for mathematics in the region through a one-year research stay at a Japanese university or research institute. This program is funded by a bequest of the late Professor Tosio Kato in partnership with the Southeast Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS).

AMC 2016 held in Bali, InDONESIA
The Asian Mathematical Conference (AMC) 2016 took place in BALI, INDONESIA, from Sun-Thu, July 25-29, 2016. It was hosted by the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS) and South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS). This AMC2016 is organized by the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS), Indonesian Combinatorial Society (InaCombS), Himpunan Peminat Aljabar (HPA), Komunitas Analisis Matematika Indonesia (Kamindo), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Universitas Indonesia (UI), and the Organizing Committee.

SEAMS-UGM 2015 Report
Following the commitment in mathematical activities to SEAMS (South East Asian Mathematical Society), once in every four years, Department of Mathematics, Universitas Gadjah Mada in cooperation with SEAMS organize an International Conference on Mathematics and its Applications in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The first SEAMS-UGM Conference was held in 1991 and the previous conference was held in 2011 (see here). An the last, the 7th SEAMS-UGM Conference have been conducted in August 18-21, 2015. The scientific program included invited lectures, contributed presentations, poster sessions and workshops. The objectives of the conference are to provide a forum for researchers, lecturers, educators and students to exchange ideas, to communicate and discuss research findings and new advances in mathematics in the wide area of mathematics, statistics and computer science (theoretical, applied, computational).
